Modern Companion is looking for a part-time Retail, Marketing, & Events Associate. This role is for someone who loves being on the floor with customers, keeping the shop looking good, and helping us stay consistent and creative with marketing and community events. You’ll be the kind of person who can run the store when needed, and also knock out the behind-the-scenes tasks that keep everything moving.

Availability we need

  • Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 11:00 AM–4:00 PM (Must be available ALL of these days/time) 

  • Saturdays as needed for extra coverage and occasional event days

  • Sundays for occasional event coverage (not often)

Retail responsibilities

  • Customer service and product recommendations

  • Checkout, returns, and general store support

  • Restocking, merchandising, and keeping the store tidy

  • Pulling online orders

  • Opening and sometimes closing as scheduled

Marketing + events support

In addition to running the store, you’ll help keep our marketing and event routines moving forward. This includes things like assisting with event prep, execution, promotion, capturing or organizing content, and handling simple recurring tasks using our templates and checklists. 

What we’re looking for

  • Creative and able to share/execute marketing and event ideas

  • Reliable and consistent with scheduling

  • Comfortable talking to customers and working independently

  • Organized and able to follow a weekly checklist without being micromanaged

  • Comfortable taking photos/videos on a phone

  • Helpful, proactive, and able to switch between customer-facing work and task-focused work

  • Able to jump in on event days and help things run smoothly

Bonus points

  • Retail experience

  • Familiarity with Instagram, Canva, Shopify, or community events

*Owning a pet is a must
