Women-Owned Small Business Market Application

Join us for a special Mother’s Day weekend event celebrating women-owned businesses in our community.

On Saturday, May 9 from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, Modern Companion will host an outdoor Women-Owned Small Business Market in our parking lot in Chapin. This event is designed to bring together a mix of local women-owned businesses for a fun, community-centered morning.

While shopping will absolutely be part of the event, we’re also looking to feature a variety of businesses, including retail, service-based businesses, and other women-owned brands that bring something unique to the experience. Our goal is to create a well-rounded event that feels engaging, welcoming, and worth showing up for.

Vendor Space Options

Table: $30 (SOLD OUT)

This option includes one 6ft table space under a shared 10x10 tent provided by Modern Companion. This is a great fit for service-based businesses, informational booths, or vendors with a smaller setup.

10x10 vendor space: $25

This option includes one 10x10 outdoor vendor space.
Vendors selecting this option must provide their own tent, table, chairs, and any other setup materials needed.

Vendor Requirements

  • This event is open to women-owned businesses only.
  • You do not have to be a pet business to apply.
  • If you are selling products or merchandise, you must have the proper licensing required for your business if applicable.
  • This is a rain or shine outdoor event.
  • Vendors must provide a setup that is visually presentable and appropriate for the event. Whether you are applying for a table space or a full 10x10 booth, you are responsible for bringing adequate signage, displays, and materials to properly fill and represent your space.
  • This event is intended to highlight independently owned, women-owned small businesses. Because of that, businesses operating under multi-level marketing models will not be accepted.

Vendor Participation Expectations

  • Vendors must arrive during the assigned setup window and be fully set up prior to the start of the event.
  • All vendors are required to remain set up and present for the full duration of the market. Early breakdown is not permitted.
  • Once the event begins, vendors may not leave before the event ends unless approved by event staff due to an emergency.
  • If you are providing your own tent and setup, you are responsible for securing all materials appropriately for outdoor conditions.

Vendor spaces are limited and will be curated based on overall fit, category, location, and event balance. We welcome both product-based and service-based businesses and are especially interested in creating a mix that gives attendees more than just a typical shopping market experience. Please note that submitting an application does not guarantee acceptance, and if selected, your vendor spot will only be confirmed once payment is received. Vendor fees are non-refundable unless the event is canceled by us. Setup instructions, arrival times, and parking details will be sent to approved vendors closer to the event date.
